Riding the wave of the male grooming scene, cult fragrance Le Labo are focusing on the traditional barber experience. The brand specialises in a luxurious but low maintenance grooming experience, crafted as a throwback to the golden days of Americana barbers, encapsulating the familiar smell of tobacco, hair tonic and pomade.
Commencing their ascent to perfume revolutionaries status in 2006, they are genderless, conceptless, claimless and cruelty free. They promise nothing more than making you feel good. With a simple aim of reclaiming perfume from what they saw as a mass market of uniformity, founders Eddie Roschi and Fabrice Benot began the journey of Le Labo. In their own words: ‘a journey through the commune of craftswomen and craftsmen who contribute to and shape Le Labo’s world.’
Made from the highest quality plant based ingredients and with no parabens or artificial colorants (translation, bad stuff), those not clued up on the finer chemical details of grooming can breathe easily.
For us we’d rather simplicity and a less radical routine which still offers the desired groomed look. No-nonsense, no false promises and no hassle. This is exactly what the new range of Body, Face and Hair products strive to provide, as well as a few moments of serenity.
The un-fragranced products contain vegan ingredients of sunflower and coconut, with a uniquely diverse range of products from beard oil for taming, shaving cream for protection and styling concrete to keep your hair right where you want it. Each one of them is what it needs to be, with no gimmicks or hidden added extras.
As the Le Labo’s gents put it themselves, “the only reason we made these formulas is to bring simplicity to your life in the bathroom.”
Le Labo men’s grooming range released October 1st. Available online at lelabofragrances.com
